On Friday, October 18th, 7-9:15 p.m. in the Social Hall, there will be a screening of
A Place at the Table,
an exceptional, feature-length documentary from Participant Media
(An Inconvenient Truth,
Waiting for Superman)
that shows the lives of Americans, including 5th grader Rosie and
young mom Barbie, as they struggle with hunger and
poor nutrition. Through the lives of real people we can
see factors that drive the hunger crisis in this country
and some of the barriers to change.
After the film there will be a brief time for group discussion.
